urn your Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ telescope into a solar scope! The EclipSmart Eclipse Solar Filter is a must-have accessory perfect for viewing the Sun and eclipses. Affordable, easy to use, and best of all, all Celestron EclipSmart products conform to the ISO 12312-2:2015(E) international safety standard. This solar filter is custom designed for the AstroMaster 130EQ and AstroMaster 130EQ-MD telescopes. Two hook and loop  straps securely hold the filter in place for a safe, snug fit.

Solar Safe Technology

EclipSmart solar products feature Solar Safe filter technology—the ultimate protection from harmful solar radiation, including IR and UV light, plus 99.999% of visible light. Celestron Solar Safe filter technology is SAFE for direct observation of the Sun and has been independently tested to conform to and meet the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015(E), Filters for Direct Observation of the Sun.

Important safety note: inspect your filter before every use. Do not use and discard if damaged, torn, punctured, or separated from the frame in any way.

    • Expedited Shipping: Calculated based on item weight and priority selection (FedEx)

    • Flat Rate Shipping: $5 flat rate for orders under $100.

4. Order Processing Time

8.1 Delayed or Lost Packages

  • Lost Packages:

    • If your tracking information indicates that your package was delivered but you have not received it, please complete the following steps:

      • Verify the shipping address provided.

      • Check with neighbors or building management.

      • Contact us for further assistance.

        • We may also ask you to file a missing package claim with the carrier so we can proceed with a replacement or resolution.

8.2 Damaged Packages

  • Reporting Shipment Damage:

    • If your package arrives damaged:  

      • Contact us within 7 days at support@hobbytechsupply.com.

      • Note: Returns will NOT be authorized if damage is caused by customer misuse or improper setup.

    • Take photos of the damaged packaging and items.

  • Resolution:

    • We will work with you to arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

9. Missing or Incomplete Items

  • Reporting Missing Items:

    • If any items are missing from your order:

      • Contact us within 7 days of receiving your package.

      • Provide your order number and details of the missing item(s).

      • Note: refunds will NOT be authorized if missing items are reported late.

      • These must be reported within 7 days of receiving your package so we can file the appropriate claims with the carrier or supplier.

    • After approval, you will receive return shipment instructions.

    • Items must be unused, undamaged, with all components present, and in their original packaging.

    • Certain items (e.g., personalized goods, gift cards) may not be eligible for return.

Celestron Warranty Overview

Celestron products come with either a 2-Year Limited Warranty or a Limited Lifetime Warranty, depending on the model. You can confirm which applies by checking the product page on Celestron’s website.

These warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship on new products purchased from authorized dealers in the U.S. and Canada.

2-Year Limited Warranty (Most Products)

What’s covered:


  • Defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date.

  • Celestron will repair or replace the product after inspection.

What’s not covered:


  • Damage from misuse, drops, modifications, or unauthorized repairs

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Used products or items purchased from unauthorized sellers

  • International purchases outside the intended region

  • Optical coatings may naturally show minor blemishes over time

  • Collimation/optical alignment issues must be claimed within 30 days

  • Loss or accidental damage is not covered

Valid only for new purchases from authorized dealers in the U.S./Canada. International buyers must contact their local distributor.

What Celestron Will Do


  • Aim to repair or replace your product within 30 days
