We base Silk PLA+ on virgin NatureWorks Ingeo 4043d PLA resin, ensuring consistent performance across batches. Prints emit a barely noticeable, pleasant sugary aroma during extrusion, a characteristic some makers appreciate during long print sessions.
Quality and consistency are built into every spool. A multi-axis laser measurement system controls filament diameter and ovality in real time, reducing print issues caused by diameter fluctuations. Each 1kg spool arrives on a durable reel designed to fit Bambu Lab AMS, vacuum-sealed with a desiccant packet to guard against moisture during storage and transport. The filament is produced in United States facilities, giving you traceable QA and reliable results from spool to print.
