Celestron Warranty Overview

Celestron products come with either a 2-Year Limited Warranty or a Limited Lifetime Warranty, depending on the model. You can confirm which applies by checking the product page on Celestron’s website.

These warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship on new products purchased from authorized dealers in the U.S. and Canada.

2-Year Limited Warranty (Most Products)

What’s covered:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date.

  • Celestron will repair or replace the product after inspection.

What’s not covered:

  • Damage from misuse, drops, modifications, or unauthorized repairs

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Used products or items purchased from unauthorized sellers

  • International purchases outside the intended region

Your costs:
Shipping and insurance to/from Celestron.

To request service:

  • Have your proof of purchase

  • Get an RMA (Return Authorization) from Celestron

  • Include your contact info and a brief description of the issue

Limited Lifetime Warranty (Select Optics Products)

What’s covered:

  • Defects in materials and workmanship for the useful life of the product (original owner only).

  • Celestron may repair or replace discontinued products with an equivalent model.

Limitations and exceptions:

  • Exterior materials (rubber, coatings): covered for 5 years

  • Accessories (caps, straps, cases): covered for 2 years

  • Optical coatings may naturally show minor blemishes over time

  • Collimation/optical alignment issues must be claimed within 30 days

  • Loss or accidental damage is not covered

Valid only for new purchases from authorized dealers in the U.S./Canada. International buyers must contact their local distributor.

What Celestron Will Do

  • Aim to repair or replace your product within 30 days

  • If discontinued, replace with a comparable model

  • No refunds—repair or replacement only

Liability Notes

  • Remedies are limited to repair or replacement

  • Celestron is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages (varies by state)
